Rachel's international reporting experience includes work for the news weekly Time Magazine. As one of the Mexico City bureau team she reported for cover stories on money laundering, arms smuggling, the state of the economy and the rise of female rock artists, among other topics.
She was senior editor of the Houston-based magazine Mexico Business, shaping the editorial content of the magazine as well as writing for it. Rachel also served as senior associate editor of the New York-based international monthly magazine Leaders for eight years.
Rachel was appointed editor-in-chief of the Slovak Spectator just before the country's accession to the EU. She led the strategic direction for this weekly newspaper, as well as setting the editorial agenda, managing the editorial team, and writing and editing content.
She was assistant finance editor at The News in Mexico City, Latin America's best-selling English language newspaper, and also wrote for the Mexico City Times.
